“DB HiTek announced on the 5th that its consolidated sales and operating profit for the third quarter were tentatively calculated at KRW 289.4 billion and KRW 49.2 billion, respectively. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 8%, but operating profit decreased by 2%.
DB HiTek stated, ‘Sales of our main product, power semiconductors, have increased, and when viewed by application field, sales in the automotive, industrial, and medical device sectors have also risen.’ They added, ‘However, operating profit slightly decreased due to factors such as depreciation and an increase in power costs related to investments.’
From 2020 to 2024, DB HiTek invested a total of KRW 1 trillion in increasing production capacity and new processes. In October, they announced an expansion investment to add a clean room, which allows for the additional production of 35,000 8-inch wafers, amounting to KRW 250 billion.
A representative from DB HiTek mentioned, ‘We will continue to expand into high-growth, high-value new businesses such as high-power semiconductors and specialized image sensors. We plan to respond closely to demand through the expansion of clean rooms.’
Meanwhile, DB HiTek will hold a corporate briefing for domestic institutional investors on November 5-6 to discuss its third-quarter performance.”
