‘Song Jong-min, CEO and Vice Chairman of Taihan Electric Wire (001440), has declared that he will lay the foundation for sustainable growth in the offshore wind and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cable businesses.’
‘According to Taihan Electric Wire on the 18th, Vice Chairman Song emphasized the company’s history and technological prowess to employees and presented a vision for the future on its 84th anniversary.’
‘In his speech, Vice Chairman Song stated, “Taihan Electric Wire, founded in 1941, was the first cable company in Korea and established the foundation for the country’s industrial development by planting cable technology in barren lands where no cable industry existed.” He added, “The many technologies, products, and construction methods first developed by Taihan Electric Wire have become the industry standards and the backbone of the growth of the cable industry.”‘
‘He further stated, “Now is the time to open the door to a new 100 years,” announcing plans for the successful completion of the first comprehensive construction of the submarine cable plant this year and the groundbreaking of the second plant, aiming to become a game changer in the global offshore wind market. At the same time, he intends to secure various business opportunities in the HVDC cable systems and transmission network business sector to establish a foundation for sustainable growth.”‘
