BPA·Private Sector Overseas Expansion Collaboration Cases and Support Information in One Place

**Support Seminar for Expanding Overseas Port and Logistics Business**

“Busan Port Authority (BPA) will support overseas expansion to respond to global logistics uncertainties.”

The Busan Port Authority (BPA), together with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, announced on the 19th that they will hold a seminar on supporting overseas port and logistics business expansion on March 5th at 2 p.m. at the international conference hall of the Korea Press Center in Seoul.

Recently, the global shipping and logistics market has faced increased uncertainty due to complex variables such as geopolitical risks like the U.S.-China trade conflict and the Red Sea crisis, shipping alliance restructuring, stricter decarbonization regulations, and digitalization of supply chains. In this changing environment, BPA has organized the seminar to support domestic companies in securing stable overseas bases.

At the seminar, BPA will share the current status and achievements of operating overseas logistics centers in locations such as Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Barcelona in Spain, Eastern Java in Indonesia, and LA/LB in the United States. They also plan to introduce joint expansion models by showcasing cases of reducing local logistics costs and improving cargo handling speed.

The seminar will begin with an explanation of BPA’s overseas business status and proposal application system. It will also cover cooperation cases of private companies and strategies for utilizing digital logistics platforms for overseas expansion. Additionally, related policies from institutions such as the Small and Medium Business Corporation, Korea Maritime Institute (KMI), and Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) will be introduced.

President Song Sang-keun emphasized, “We will lay a practical foundation for our companies to advance into the global market by leveraging Busan Port’s global network,” and added, “Busan Port Authority will strengthen its role as a K-logistics platform.”

After the seminar, one-on-one consultations concerning the use of overseas logistics centers will be provided to pre-registered companies.
