In the first half of this year, our exports recorded $33.48 billion.
Despite challenging external conditions such as global high-interest rates, we have achieved the second-highest performance in history.
Promising items such as semiconductors, automobiles, K-Food, and K-Beauty have led the export growth.
The government expects this export growth trend to continue into the second half of the year, projecting that exports will reach an all-time high of $69 billion.

“With the expected expansion of global trade volume, the growth momentum and surplus trend of our exports are expected to continue.”
The government has set a goal to exceed $70 billion and has upwardly adjusted the export targets for five key items.
To achieve this goal, the government is focusing on all available policy support, including expanding trade finance by 5 trillion won and increasing financial support limits for export novice companies by five times.
For key items playing a crucial role in export growth, the government has also announced plans for targeted financial support.

“We will actively address the export companies’ challenges related to production, logistics, tariffs, regulations, and labor, according to the characteristics of the industry for export items with growth trends.”
In response to trade risks such as rising sea freight costs, the government has promised to devise measures to ease the industry’s burdens.
