Yoon’s side states, “Over 150 individuals involved in executing arrest warrants, including the head of the Airborne Investigation Office, will be reported… Shaking the foundations of national security.”

“Breaking the front gate of a military facility, trespassing, and assaulting security personnel… Charged with obstruction of special official duties.”

The side representing President Yoon Suk-yeol, for whom an arrest warrant was issued due to the ‘December 3 Martial Law’ incident, has announced plans to file complaints against over 150 individuals, including Oh Dong-woon, the head of the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials.

On the 5th, President Yoon’s legal representatives stated in a statement, “We plan to file complaints against a total of over 150 people, including the head of the Corruption Investigation Office, prosecutors, and the police special task force, on charges including obstruction of special official duties.”

They said, “These individuals have fundamentally shaken the presidential security system, which is the backbone of national security,” and added, “We intend to respond firmly to this illegal act that disregards national security.”

They continued, “Despite not having the authority to direct the police investigation, the head of the Corruption Investigation Office led the police special task force in executing an illegal warrant against the president on the 3rd.” They alleged, “During this process, more than 150 individuals, including members of the Corruption Investigation Office and the police special task force, broke through the front gate of a military protected area and assaulted security personnel, injuring some.”

Additionally, “The Presidential Security Office requested reinforcements from Police Deputy Chief Lee Ho-young and Deputy Minister of National Defense Kim Sun-ho in the Cheong Wa Dae area, but they refused,” they said. “This allowed the Corruption Investigation Office to break through the front gate unimpeded.”

They also announced plans to file charges against not only the head of the Corruption Investigation Office but also the police deputy chief, the deputy minister of national defense, and related officials from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and Yongsan Police Station as accomplices in the illegal execution of the warrant by the Corruption Investigation Office.

Furthermore, they emphasized, “Noncompliance and defiance against orders related to presidential security is a serious matter that shakes the foundation of the presidential security system, which is pivotal for national security.” They added, “We plan to hold those who perpetrated these illegal acts legally accountable to restore the security system.”

They concluded by saying, “In accordance with the constitution, the president will respond firmly to illegal acts that disregard national security to establish solid rule of law in the Republic of Korea.”
