Prosecutors investigating the luxury handbag case involving Mrs. Kim Geon-hee concluded that the bag submitted by the presidential office and the product given by Pastor Choi Jae-young are the same.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office’s criminal division compared the submitted Dior bag with the product in the undercover camera footage from Seoul’s Voice and tentatively determined that they are the same product.
The prosecution analyzed the alphabets and numbers on the bag to confirm details such as the production factory and manufacturing date.
It was also revealed that the verification of the purchase video submitted by Seoul’s Voice led to the same conclusion that it is the same product.
A comparison analysis of the sticker location and the foam condition inside the sticker seen in the video at that time also showed a match.
The prosecution also confirmed the absence of traces of using the bag, as claimed by Mrs. Kim, in the examination.
The prosecution, having determined that the bags are identical, plans to conclude the case within this month based on the facts they have gathered so far.
The National Human Rights Commission, which initially investigated the case, has concluded the case as it did not recognize any relevance to its jurisdiction.
