(Yeoju = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Sol = A 60-year-old worker, identified as A, fell 3 meters at a construction site inside a logistics center in Sanbuk-myeon, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi Province, at 8:29 a.m. on the 21st.
A was seriously injured in the head and other areas and was transported unconscious to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Another worker, a man in his 50s identified as B, was also injured and is receiving treatment at the hospital. It is reported that B’s injuries are not life-threatening.
At the time of the accident, A was on a high lift work platform on the second basement level of the logistics center, installing duct facilities on the ceiling.
The police believe that the duct fell for unknown reasons, causing A to fall along with it, and that B, who was below, was injured in the process.
