SNT Dynamics and SNT Motive, the core defense affiliates of SNT Group, have unveiled their next-generation tactical systems at a defense exhibition. The two companies are participating in the ‘Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (ADEX 2025)’ held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province from the 20th to the 24th, where they have prepared a 315㎡ exhibition space to showcase newly developed and mass-produced equipment such as power packs for tanks, electrified powertrains, and firearms.
SNT Dynamics showcased several items, including a 1700 horsepower tank power pack, a 1000 horsepower automatic transmission, an Electric Drive Unit (EDU), an electrified axle (e-Axle), an LTV-mounted 120mm mortar system, a 20mm turret-mounted machine gun system, and a 12.7mm K6 heavy machine gun. The 1700 horsepower power pack, a main component of the K-Powertrain combining an SNT transmission and an HD Hyundai Infracore engine, was first exported to Turkey’s ‘Altay’ tank last year and will be implemented in the fourth mass production of K2 tanks starting in 2026.
The electrification technology for next-generation tactical vehicles is also notable. The EDU and e-Axle can be applied to future electrified tactical vehicles, with the EDU previously supplied to over 160,000 units of GM’s Bolt electric vehicles. If the market for electrified tactical vehicles expands, SNT anticipates wider application in the military sector.
In the field of combat vehicle firepower, the development of the ‘120mm mortar system mounted on light tactical vehicles’ intended for future marine forces was introduced. It features a lightweight structure that allows for sea and air transport, enhancing mobility in amphibious operations and coastal defense.
SNT Motive, which specializes in firearms manufacturing, emphasized ‘global collaboration’ at this exhibition. It has partnered with renowned companies like Germany’s Heckler & Koch (HK) and the American Colt. SNT Motive is pursuing firearms technology exchange with HK and has announced improved prototypes like the MK.47 and K4 40mm automatic grenade launcher with Colt.
Additionally, SNT is operating a shooting experience booth with ‘Universal Training Munitions’ (UTM) where visitors can experience firing blanks and dummy rounds with models like the K2C1, K15, and P10C.
An SNT representative stated, “We aim to enhance global defense competitiveness through the advancement of precision machinery and electronic control technology.”
