On the 17th, Jeon posted a video on his YouTube channel, Jeon Hangil News, with the message, ‘Greetings from in front of Mount Fuji instead of today’s live broadcast.’
In the video, Jeon stands against the backdrop of Mount Fuji, Japan’s symbol, holding placards reading ‘1905 Eulsa Treaty,’ ‘1910 Japan-Korea Annexation,’ and ‘2025 Pro-China Lee Jae-myung,’ ‘Chinese Colony In Progress.’
Jeon claimed, “History repeats. Due to the Eulsa Treaty and the Japan-Korea Annexation Treaty, we experienced the painful history of 35 years as a Japanese colony. Now, 120 years later in 2025, the Lee Jae-myung regime is leaning towards China and might become a vassal or colony of China.” He added, “The Lee administration acts as a subordinate of the Chinese government, otherwise how do they comply entirely with China’s demands?”
Jeon urged, “Please judge what we should do regarding the Lee administration that is leading South Korea to ruin,” and continued, “I will keep traveling around the globe, appealing to overseas Koreans to protect South Korea, strengthen the Korea-US alliance, and guard liberal democracy.”
On the 16th, Jeon also conducted a one-man protest in Tokyo’s Shinjuku area, Japan, as he revealed in a live broadcast. Photos showed him standing at a crosswalk with placards saying, “Japanese residents! Please save South Korea!” and “Lee Jae-myung = Hitler.”
In August, coinciding with the Korea-US summit between President Lee Jae-myung and President Donald Trump, Jeon visited Washington D.C., claiming that he received suggestions about seeking asylum within the U.S. due to safety threats.
Jeon reportedly departed for Australia on the night of the 17th. On the 18th, he posted on his YouTube board, “I will continue to upload content of my speech and one-man protest in front of the Sydney Opera House. I will persistently appeal to the 7 million overseas Koreans to save South Korea for the sake of the Korea-US alliance and the protection of liberal democracy.”
