In Haeundae-gu, partial opening of Haeundae and Songjeong Beach for swimming began on the 1st, and safety management measures were implemented. After a month of partial opening, the beaches will be fully open for two months starting from the following month.
At Haeundae Beach, visitors can enjoy swimming in a 300m section from the tourist information center to the event square. Safety facilities such as watchtowers and buoys are installed, and lifeguards are stationed from 9am to 6pm for beachgoers’ safety. Songjeong Beach has partially opened a 150m section in front of the tourist information center.
To ensure the safety of visitors, 30 private lifeguards are deployed during the partial opening period, and a night surveillance team is also in operation to monitor activities such as unauthorized entry or fireworks at night.
During the upcoming full opening period, a promotional zone with an 8m-long shade and beach cabanas will be set up at 150m section of Haeundae Baeksajang. Additionally, Songjeong Beach plans to expand the surfing area to a record-breaking 250m length.
