**Cyber Investigation Unit Launches Investigation**

**Threats and Abusive Language Following Yoon’s Arrest**

Posts threatening to kill the judge who dismissed President Yoon Seok-yeol’s arrest appeal have appeared online, prompting a police investigation. The Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 17th that they have received reports of a threatening post targeting Judge So Jun-seop from the Seoul Central District Court and are currently tracking the authenticity of the post and its author.

The threatening message was reportedly posted the previous day on an online community called “People’s Power Minor Gallery” on DC Inside. The post contained extreme language, stating, “I’ll behead So Jun-seop (judge) if I catch him on his way to or from work.”

This gallery has also seen a series of extreme reactions, including posts suggesting harm towards Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, following President Yoon’s arrest.

On the previous day, Judge So Jun-seop of the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Division 32 conducted a two-hour detention review session from 5 PM and ultimately rejected the request. President Yoon, who did not appear in person for the review, also refused an investigation by the Corruption Investigation Office for High-Ranking Officials on the morning of the 17th.
