“Monthly Sales of 400 Million Won” Jung Jun-ha’s Gangnam Apartment Goes to Auction

The apartment owned by TV personality and restaurateur Jung Jun-ha in Gangnam has gone to auction.

According to the real estate industry on the 2nd, the Central Heights Village apartment (152㎡) in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, owned by Jung Jun-ha, has been put up for auction.

Jung Jun-ha and his father acquired the property in 2005 with a 50:50 share ratio. The creditor is the wholesale liquor company representative Taegyeong, and it is presumed that Jung Jun-ha used the real estate as collateral due to being unable to pay for liquor and goods.

The first sale date is scheduled for the 10th, and the auction will be conducted for 36.4㎡, half of Jung Jun-ha’s land share (72.76㎡). The appraised value is 1.795 billion Korean won.

However, since this is a share auction, there is a high possibility of a failed auction. The debt amount is only around 200 million won, so there is a possibility it could be paid off in the meantime.

Jung Jun-ha recently appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Face Genius Cha Eun-soo’ operated by fellow entertainer Park Myung-soo, where he expressed the difficulties of running a private business, stating that his sushi restaurant’s monthly sales are 400 million won, but expenses are significant as well.

He said, “The rent including VAT is 32 million won, and there are over 20 employees, including part-timers. Last month’s salaries alone amounted to about 45 million won. I have a business partner, and after deducting other expenses, not much is left.”

He also added, “One of the five stores I’m operating will close after eight years. We incurred a lot of losses there during the pandemic.”
