The Gwangju Agricultural Cooperative Headquarters (headed by Lee Hyun-ho) held a meeting on the 10th at the third-floor conference room to prepare for the 2025 Lunar New Year direct transaction market.
At the meeting, Noh Tae-song, a manager from Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall, and sales managers from 15 local agricultural and livestock cooperatives participated. They discussed item selection and operational plans for the direct transaction market for the Lunar New Year, as well as strategies to promote local agricultural product consumption.
To promote the consumption of regional agricultural products ahead of the Lunar New Year, the Gwangju Headquarters plans to operate a direct transaction market in its parking lot on the 16th and 17th. At this market, over 50 high-quality agricultural and livestock products, as well as holiday gifts and ceremonial items produced by members of 15 local cooperatives, will be offered at prices 10-30% lower than the regular market rates.
Director Lee Hyun-ho stated, “We are working to stabilize the prices of major holiday items ahead of the Lunar New Year. Through this direct transaction market, we aim to provide Gwangju citizens with safe and reliable premium agricultural and livestock products at affordable prices.”
