(Cheonan = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Jun-ho = Cheonan City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 26th that five rural areas, including Gwangdeok-myeon, Buk-myeon, Seongnam-myeon, Byeongcheon-myeon, and Ipjang-myeon, have been added as locations that accept the ‘Livelihood Recovery Consumer Coupons’ at Hanaro Mart.

The city explained that this decision was made to alleviate inconvenience for rural residents who experienced a lack of locations to use the coupons, considering factors like accessibility to similar business franchises within the areas, the range of products sold, and the proportion of the population over 70 years old.

The new locations added include six places: Cheonan Nonghyup Hanaro Mart Gwangdeok branch and Administrative branch, Dongcheonahn Nonghyup Hanaro Mart Buk-myeon and Seongnam branches, Aunae Nonghyup Hanaro Mart, and Ipjang Nonghyup Hanaro Mart.

The city expects that this expansion will benefit residents from areas such as Susan-myeon and Dong-myeon, where there are no Hanaro Marts.

Lee Mi-young, head of the Employment and Economy Division, stated, “We are relieved to address the inconvenience experienced by rural residents due to a lack of locations to use the coupons through this expansion. We will continue our efforts to enhance both convenience for residents and the local economy.”
