Seoul business owners and employees who care for children aged 3 months to 12 years old,

“(Seoul=News1) By Kwon Hye-jeong Reporter – Seoul City announced on the 18th that they will start a new program to support ‘Idol Care Services,’ which provide customized child care even on nights and weekends to fill the gaps in child care that can occur due to the nature of small business operations.”,
This program, part of Seoul City’s low birth rate support project ‘Birth Support Seoul Project,’ is being carried out with the support of 50 billion won from KB Financial Group’s donation announced in August. The ‘3-piece set tailored to birth and child-rearing support for small business owners’ provided support for small business owners who have been left out of birth and childcare support policies by supporting substitutes for parental leave, Idol Care Services, and temporary closures due to pregnancy and childbirth.
When small business owners raising children use Idol Care Services at private service organizations, Seoul City will support 10,000 won (excluding 5,000 won out of the hourly care fee of 15,000 won) per child per hour, receiving a total support of up to 360,000 won per child per month for 6 months. For two children, they can receive a maximum of 900,000 won per month and a total support of 5.4 million won for 6 months.
It is explained that the program is particularly meaningful because both business owners and employees can receive benefits. The target users are small business owners and employees with businesses located in Seoul who care for children aged 3 months to 12 years, with support available for up to two children per household.
The services available include escorting to and from daycare, providing prepared meals and snacks, putting to bed/waking up, hygiene management (washing, hand wiping, changing clothes, diaper changing), post-care cleanup, indoor play, and basic childcare services.
Seoul City will start accepting service applications from 9 a.m. on the 23rd. A total of 1,000 households will be selected through this application process.
Applications can only be made through the mobile KB Star Banking app starting on the 23rd, and after about 5 weeks of document submission and review, the final selection of recipients will be announced on October 28. The selection results will be notified via individual text messages.
The selected households can sign up with the service provider they selected (or were assigned to) by October 31, apply for Idol Care Services after connecting with a caregiver, and start using the services from November 11.
For detailed guidance on the usage process, you can check through the 120 Dasan Call Center, Seoul Women and Family Foundation, Mobile KB Star Banking app’s FAQ, and more.
Seoul City’s Women and Family Manager Kim Sun-soon stated, “I will proceed with the remaining projects of the ‘3-piece set tailored to birth and child-rearing support for small business owners’ without any delays and walk alongside 1.53 million small business owners.”,
