The National Forensic Service has reported that the driver involved in the accident at a hamburger restaurant in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, in September, resulting in six casualties, likely confused the accelerator and brake pedals. On the 26th, Seoul Gangbuk Police revealed that they received a report from the National Forensic Service indicating that the 70-year-old driver, Mr. A, accelerated and crashed into the store after pressing the accelerator instead of the brake. In the incident last September, Mr. A drove into the hamburger restaurant near Mia Station on subway line 4 in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, causing one death and injuring five others. The police have booked Mr. A on charges of negligent homicide and injury under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents and plan to decide on his detention based on the forensic results.
