[군포=뉴시스] The city hall of Gunpo. (Photo provided by Gunpo city.) Gunpo city in Gyeonggi Province announced the basic plan for the development of Sanbon New City for public review on the 14th. The plan was prepared to facilitate smooth project implementation following the establishment of the old urban development plan by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.
The public review will be available at the 3rd record room on the 5th floor of Gunpo City Hall from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays, excluding holidays, until the 4th next month.
Through this public review, Gunpo city aims to establish a foundation for the development project of Sanbon New City. Following administrative procedures such as discussions with relevant departments and organizations, listening to the opinions of the city council, and reviewing by the local committee, it is expected to obtain approval from Gyeonggi Province by the end of this year.
Earlier, Gunpo city held a public explanation meeting on the basic plan for the development of Sanbon New City and the selection of the lead zone on the 10th of last month.
Furthermore, the city announced the legislation of the “Ordinance on the Development and Support of Gunpo City’s Old Urban Development Plan” which includes indicating the minimum public contribution ratio (10% for the 1st section, 41% for the 2nd section) for the RISE-UP Sanbon vision, aiming to improve quality residential spaces and self-sufficiency infrastructure, and setting four major goals: ‘Life-integrated N-min city’, ‘Co-growth self-sufficient city’, ‘Intelligent transportation city’ and ‘Sustainable ecological city’.
According to the announcement by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, the standard floor area ratio for Sanbon New City is 330% (current city-wide average floor area ratio is 207%), which will result in an additional supply of 16,000 housing units (currently 110,000 people with 42,000 units → to 140,000 people with 58,000 units).
