Currently, Seoul is cloudy but radar shows that it is already raining in Gyeonggi Province and Chungcheong Province.
More rain is expected to come into Seoul as a rain cloud mass located in the West Sea area moves in.
Video footage from Dangjin shows strong winds and heavy rain, with water splashing around as cars pass by.
Heavy rain warnings are in place for southern Gyeonggi Province and northern Chungcheong Province, and strong wind warnings are in effect for the central West Sea area, while heat wave advisories are in effect for southern Gyeonggi Province and other parts of Chungcheong Province.
Over 170mm of rain has fallen in Cheorwon since yesterday.
Up to 60mm of rain is expected in the Seoul metropolitan area and 5-40mm in Chungcheong Province by the morning.
Showers of 5-60mm are forecasted in the afternoon.
The rain is expected to stop by tomorrow morning, with scattered showers in inland areas in the afternoon.
