Academy in progress…advice and experience sharing from production sites “Netflix and the Korea Content Promotion Institute have held the ‘Next Generation Expert Production Academy’ at the Hongneung Content Talent Campus in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul on the 4th and 5th,” reported on the 8th. They introduced necessary roles and skills for content production to over 300 attendees both online and offline, and shared advice and experiences from production sites.
Appearing on stage were director Han Jun-hee of ‘D.P,’ PD Kim Yeon-ho of ‘Hell,’ PD Jung Hyo-min of ‘Hyori’s Homestay,’ PD Jang Ho-ki of ‘Physical: 100,’ among others. Kim Suk-won, sound supervisor for ‘The King’s Affection’ and ‘Hell,’ post-production supervisor Song Min-soo, special effects makeup director Hwang Hyo-kyun, colorist Park Jin-young, and editing director Han Mi-yeon also participated and shared their experiences.
Netflix Korea Production Head Ha Jeong-soo stated, “The completeness of content is created by creators in every stage of production process,” adding, “Netflix focuses on nurturing the next generation of experts through various education programs encompassing detailed production processes from pre-production to actual shooting and post-production, aiming to expand K-content to a larger global market.”
Kim Yong-seop, Director of the Media Policy Division at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, who delivered the keynote speech, expressed, “I believe that the success of Korean content in the global market is supported by editors, technical directors, and directors gathered here,” and said, “The government will continue to support the content industry and consider it as a representative national industry.”
