Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 16th that it will prohibit the import of pork and agricultural products from Gyeongsangbuk-do starting at midnight on the 17th. Currently, a 48-hour movement restriction order has been issued for pig farms, slaughterhouses, feed factories, and vehicles entering and exiting related livestock facilities in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do from 10 p.m. on the 15th to 10 p.m. on the 17th. Emergency quarantine measures such as culling the pigs at the affected farm (24,000 pigs) and restricting the movement of pigs at pig farms within a 10 km radius (5 farms with about 13,000 pigs) are also being implemented.
