On the 28th (Tuesday), a video titled ‘EP.42 Song Youngkwan a.k.a. Song Bao’ was uploaded to the Saloon Drip channel hosted by Jang Doyeon.
In the revealed video, Song Youngkwan, also known as ‘Song Bao’, appeared as a guest and showed great chemistry with Jang Doyeon.
On that day, Song Youngkwan, the caretaker of Song Bao, mentioned in the video, “Poo Bao was so ‘chubby.’ As he grew older, his weight surpassed other kids of the same age.” He then expressed, “He seemed to dislike the word ‘chubby.’ I wanted to prevent him from hearing comments like ‘chubby,’ so I cutely called him ‘chubby bunny.'”
Jang Doyeon asked Song Youngkwan, “Each panda in the family has a different personality. If you could live a day through the eyes of just one panda, whose body would you want to inhabit?”
In response, Song Youngkwan said, “I would choose to be Poo Bao. Since he is in China now, if I could live a day as Poo Bao, I could experience a lot of things, and when I returned to my body afterward, I could tell Poo Bao about my experiences. It feels like I will undergo a proxy experience about how Poo Bao felt in China. So, I want to be Poo Bao now.”
Furthermore, Song Youngkwan shared, “At first, (parting ways) is of course difficult. Isn’t it unexpected when you have to part with your parents or animals suddenly without notice? A lot of regret remains.” He added, “Especially with Poo Bao, he clearly planned and started leaving, so I thought and practiced each day on how to live without regrets at the moment of separation.”
On the day Poo Bao left in April, Song Youngkwan shed tears leaning against a truck. He mentioned, “I showed a cheerful appearance. People were very worried about me. They said, ‘It will be difficult to rise again,’ but you don’t have to worry. I am building more happiness. So, you don’t have to worry too much.”
