[Sports Chosun Reporter Lee Eun-ki] Actress So Yoo-jin revealed her deep friendship with comedian Lee Dong-woo, adding warmth to the relationship.
On the 26th, a video of So Yoo-jin’s interview was released on the ‘Nat Nat’ channel.
So Yoo-jin said she has had a long connection with Lee Dong-woo, stating, “He has been my friend since high school, and he used to come as a guest on my radio show every week. I feel sad as his body is not well.” Lee Dong-woo was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa in 2004 and in 2010 he was declared blind.
She continued, “When I asked him what he wants to do the most, he said not being able to see his daughter grow up is the most difficult, but not being able to read books makes him very sad. Since then, I have recorded over 10 books and gifted them to him. When he wants to read a book, he records it alone in a friend’s recording studio. It takes several hours.”
So Yoo-jin added, “If we are good friends, we listen to each other’s stories that contain views on the unseen world and philosophies in a rapidly changing world. Even with such discomfort, our friendship remains unbroken. He likes philosophical books, so when he reads them, I learn a lot and enjoy it.”
Meanwhile, So Yoo-jin married restaurateur and TV personality Baek Jong-won in 2013 and has a son and two daughters. She is currently appearing on MBC’s ‘Oh Eun-young Report – Marriage Hell’ and KBS2’s ‘The Return of Superman’.
