On Monday the 20th, the afternoon temperature nationwide is expected to reach around 25 degrees, making it hot. There may be isolated showers in the capital area and Gangwon region at times.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 19th, on the 20th, the morning’s lowest temperature will be between 10-17 degrees, and the afternoon’s highest temperature will be between 17-30 degrees. Inland areas of Gyeongsang Province may see temperatures rise to around 30 degrees in the afternoon. An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration stated, “The temperature difference between day and night in inland areas will be about 15-20 degrees, which is significant. Please take care of your health.”
There is a forecast of light rain in parts of northern Gyeonggi and central-northern Gangwon between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the 20th, with expected precipitation amounts of around 1 mm. Seoul, Incheon, southern Gyeonggi, and southern Gangwon may also experience less than 0.1 mm of rainfall.
There may be areas with dense fog, with visibility less than 200m, in inland areas of Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Jeonbuk until 9 a.m. on the 20th. Roads adjacent to rivers, lakes, or valleys may have thicker fog than the surrounding areas, so drivers should be cautious and drive at reduced speed for traffic safety.
Additionally, there may be strong gusts of wind around 70 km/h in some mountainous areas of Gangwon until the morning of the 20th.
The fine dust levels are expected to be at ‘normal’ to ‘good’ levels nationwide.
