A preliminary autopsy result has indicated ‘injury from a fall’ for the elementary school student who went missing and was later found dead in Juwangsan National Park, Cheongsong County, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
According to Gyeongsangbuk-do Police Agency on the 13th, the autopsy of the deceased boy’s body revealed signs of bodily injury caused by a fall, such as fractures and contusions all over his body.
The police plan to conduct an autopsy to determine the precise cause of death, and the funeral procedures will reportedly proceed after the autopsy.
The deceased student had visited Juwangsan National Park with his family on the 10th and was found dead around 10:10 a.m. on the 12th, approximately 400 meters from the main peak of Juwangsan.
The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education is providing psychological counseling and support for the deceased student’s classmates.
However, no separate memorial events are planned.
