**Samsung SDS Targets Strictly Regulated Public and Financial Sectors**
**LG CNS Named ‘Partner of the Year’**
In Las Vegas, on the 22nd (local time), Lee Ho-jun, Executive Vice President of Samsung SDS Cloud Services Division, and Ruth Sun, Google Cloud Korea President, announced a strategic partnership to strengthen business cooperation in AI, cloud, and security fields at the ‘Google Cloud Next 2026’.
Samsung SDS and LG CNS are enhancing their partnerships with Google to compete for dominance in the AX field.
On the same day, Samsung SDS entered into a strategic partnership with Google Cloud concerning AI, cloud, and security at ‘Google Cloud Next 2026’, held in Las Vegas.
Through this partnership, the two companies aim to seek ways to supply Google’s AI agentic solutions in sectors with strong security regulations, such as public and financial areas. Currently, these sectors have strict security regulations, making it difficult for global big tech companies to enter.
Samsung SDS plans to target the public and financial markets by leveraging Google Distributed Cloud (GDC). GDC offers advantages such as regulatory compliance, local data processing, system survivability, and ultra-low latency, making it well-suited for data centers and edge environments.
Additionally, they are exploring integrating Google’s Gemini Enterprise and agentic AI solutions into enterprises through Samsung’s own platform, Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP). The two companies plan to strengthen cooperation by combining their technological capabilities and expertise in cloud operation/management (MSP) and security.
Lee Ho-jun, Vice President of Samsung SDS, said, “We will build an AI-cloud environment centered on high-security and regulated industries through cooperation with Google Cloud and support enterprises in AI transformation. We will continue to expand AX innovations across various industries.”
LG CNS was selected as Google Cloud’s ‘Korea Partner of the Year’.
After concluding the first domestic digital transformation (DX) partnership with Google Cloud headquarters in the U.S. in September 2022, LG CNS expanded its collaboration into the AI field. LG CNS holds professional capability certifications in six areas with Google Cloud, including Gemini Enterprise, AI, data analysis, and infrastructure.
Currently, LG CNS provides services in manufacturing, finance, distribution, telecommunications, and public sectors using the generative AI Gemini and enterprise AI platform Vertex AI. The two companies are also conducting AI-based research and development projects in the healthcare and bio fields, including AI agents, genomic data analysis, and predictive new drug development based on protein structure.
Kim Tae-hoon, Executive Vice President of LG CNS, stated, “We plan to continue our journey as a leading partner for AX in the Asia-Pacific region and the Americas with Google Cloud.”
