The most beloved science book over the past 10 years is “Cosmos.”

According to Kyobo Bookstore’s survey, the most sold science book in the past decade is Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos.” In celebration of April, the “Month of Science,” and Science Day on April 21, Kyobo Bookstore released an analysis of science book sales data over the past ten years on the 20th. “Cosmos,” which was translated and published in 2006, topped the sales chart as it meticulously describes the birth of the universe by the astrophysicist author. The second place went to Richard Dawkins’ “The Selfish Gene,” followed by Lulu Miller’s “Why Fish Don’t Exist” in third place.

Other notable titles in the top five include “Survival of the Friendliest” by Brian Hare and “The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat” by Oliver Sacks. Among domestic authors, Kyunghee University professor Kim Sang-wook’s “Thrill and Resonance” ranked sixth, and “Sky, Wind, Stars, and Human” was ninth, making it to the top ten.

Kyobo Bookstore also announced the best-selling science authors over the past decade. The first place went to Carl Sagan, followed by Richard Dawkins, Lulu Miller, Kim Sang-wook, and Carlo Rovelli in second to fifth places, respectively.

Additionally, Kyobo Bookstore is hosting a “Science Book Review King” event until the 30th, highlighting long-loved science books based on actual reader reviews and recommendations.
