Jensen Huang Expresses “Gratitude to Samsung”… Samsung Electronics Surges Over 4%

**SK Hynix Recovers to 1 Million KRW Level**

Samsung Electronics is showing a strong increase of over 4% in the early trading hours on the 17th. As of 9:09 AM on the same day on the Korea Exchange, Samsung Electronics is trading at 196,300 KRW, up 7,600 KRW (4.03%) from the previous trading day. The stock price continues its upward trend for the second consecutive day, nearing the recovery of the ‘200,000 KRW range’.

At the same time, SK Hynix also surpassed the ‘1 million KRW mark’, trading at 1 million KRW, a rise of 26,000 KRW (2.62%) from the previous day.

Previously, Samsung Electronics unveiled its 7th generation high-bandwidth memory (HBM) ‘HBM4E’ at the NVIDIA annual developer conference ‘GTC 2026’, held in San Jose, USA, showcasing memory solutions that support NVIDIA’s next-generation AI accelerator ‘Vera Rubin’.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang expressed his gratitude during the GTC keynote speech, saying, “Samsung is manufacturing the ‘Groq 3 Language Processing Unit (LPU)’ for us,” and “we are increasing production as fast as possible.”

On the New York Stock Exchange, the semiconductor index rose by 1.96% to 7,796.24 points, and NVIDIA’s stock increased by 1.65% to 183.22 USD.

Securities firms are also issuing optimistic forecasts by raising their target prices for these two major semiconductor stocks.

Seo Seung-yeon, an analyst at DB Securities, commented, “It is expected that the market position within the HBM4 market will expand and the price increase of memory in the second quarter of this year will be significant,” and adjusted the target price to 230,000 KRW.
