Hanwha Group Prioritizes Safety for Employees and Families in the Middle East

[Edaily, Reporter Kim Jung-yoo] Concerning the U.S. and Israel’s airstrike on Iran, Hanwha Group released an informational statement on the 1st, stating, “We are doing our utmost to ensure the safety of employees, business travelers, and their families in the Middle East region.”

Hanwha Group is currently conducting exports and business in countries including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, and Kuwait. Among these, they are involved in the Bismayah New City construction project in Iraq, where 123 employees are stationed.

Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon emphasized, “The safety of our employees in the Middle East comes first, above anything else. The company should take all necessary measures to ensure thorough safety.”

Hanwha Group has established a real-time communication system with the local area to directly oversee the safety of their employees and their families. They are also cooperating with local Korean embassies and communities to ensure the safety of Koreans in the region.
