Hyundai Glovis has been selected as an excellent company for win-win cooperation in safety and health… Awarded the Minister of Employment and Labor’s Prize.

Hyundai Glovis has been recognized for its contributions to safety prevention in industrial sites and was awarded the Minister of Employment and Labor Award, as announced on the 26th. The company was selected as an outstanding enterprise in the ‘2026 Large and Small Business Safety and Health Win-win Cooperation Project Agreement Ceremony’ held on February 25 in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

The ‘Large and Small Business Safety and Health Win-win Cooperation Project’ is a program hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and organized by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. It supports major companies and partner companies in autonomously promoting safety and health improvement activities, aiming to enhance capabilities in preventing industrial accidents and addressing the work environment gap between large and small businesses.

Hyundai Glovis received high praise for consistently promoting site-centered safety and health support activities that take into account the characteristics of logistics sites. By actively collecting opinions from partner companies and field workers, the company effectively implemented improvement activities, achieving zero serious accidents since 2021.

In particular, Hyundai Glovis operates a tailored on-site safety consulting program called “Glovis Will Visit You,” which diagnoses risk factors at each site and provides one-on-one customized safety improvement plans to strengthen the safety and health management capabilities of its partners.

The company has also put effort into improving work environments. Since 2021, Hyundai Glovis has provided free side safety supports for cargo compartments to partner companies to prevent falls during vehicle loading and unloading on auto transport trucks. Furthermore, it has developed and is expanding the distribution of second-generation safety supports that enhance both operational convenience and safety.

Along with these efforts, a customized lightweight safety helmet for truck drivers was developed and distributed. The new helmet, weighing 250 grams, reduced the bulk by 16% and the weight by 14% compared to existing industrial safety helmets, lessening the burden on wearers. It has been officially recognized for safety by passing the safety certification review by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.

Additionally, Hyundai Glovis is fostering a site-centered safety culture by running VR-based experiential safety training and selecting and rewarding safety excellence employees monthly.

The company’s achievements in safety management continue to be recognized at the government level. In July last year, they were awarded the Grand Prize (Minister of Employment and Labor Award) at the ‘2025 Large and Small Business Safety and Health Win-win Cooperation Activity Best Practices Presentation Contest.’ In January this year, Kim Il-hwan, head of Hyundai Glovis Safety and Environmental Center, received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award in the ‘2025 Large and Small Business Safety and Health Win-win Cooperation Meritorious’ category.

A Hyundai Glovis representative stated, “The safety of our partners is equivalent to the safety of Hyundai Glovis under the perception of cooperative safety management,” emphasizing their ongoing efforts to expand safety and health programs with partners to enhance overall safety levels in industrial sites.
