A former Korean history instructor turned conservative YouTuber, Jeon Han-gil (real name Jeon Yu-gwan), and Kim Hyun-tae, former commander of the 707th Special Mission Group of the Republic of Korea Army Special Warfare Command, have filed a complaint against An Gui-ryeong, Presidential Office Deputy Spokesperson.
According to Yonhap News and others, they submitted the complaint against the deputy spokesperson to the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul on the morning of the 24th.
They accused An Gui-ryeong of grabbing the muzzle of a soldier’s gun while the soldier was carrying out operations within the National Assembly premises during the Dec. 3 Martial Law incident.
They claim that An attempted to seize the soldier’s weapon and is therefore guilty of five charges, including attempted robbery of military property and obstruction of duty through the use of special force.
Jeon stated, “We have confirmed that individuals around Deputy Spokesperson An were seen assisting her. This was not merely a simple protest or accidental contact, but an attempted seizure of arms through role distribution.”
Meanwhile, Jeon also announced that he plans to take legal action regarding the cancellation of his planned “Jeon Han-gil Concert” at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, scheduled for February 2, which he claims was canceled due to interference by Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dong-yeon.
The police plan to review the facts based on the filed complaint.
