Gwangju Seo-gu to Train ‘Youth Instructors’… Applications Open Until the 12th of Next Month

Recruiting 10 Individuals in Employment, Career, and Cultural Arts Fields

Gwangju’s Seo-gu district is launching the “Talent Sharing Youth Instructor” program, allowing young people to participate directly from planning to executing lectures. This program is youth-led, supporting talented young individuals to design and share their lectures based on personal experiences and expertise with their peers.

Eligible applicants are young people from Seo-gu aged 19 to 39 who have talents in various fields such as employment, career, IT/media, cultural arts, and finance/economics. The district aims to select up to three instructors per field, for a total of 10, and even those without teaching experience are encouraged to apply.

Selected young instructors will run programs at the Youth Center during the first half of the year, with lectures designed around their talents and experiences to engage and resonate with their peers. From the planning stage to execution and collecting feedback, instructors are involved in every aspect.

Through collaboration with related organizations, the district has expanded the venues for lectures, held at places like the “Seo-gu Youth Center Plus” and “Job Station Sangmu.” The district will support instructor fees and material costs, helping to enhance practical skills and promote social participation.

Following the program, outstanding young instructors will be identified based on satisfaction survey results, providing additional opportunities for program operation in the second half of the year and supporting continuous activities linked to various youth policies.

Applications are open until February 12. Interested young individuals can prepare the required documents found in the public notice section on the Seo-gu district’s website and submit them via email. For more information, contact the Seo-gu District Office’s Job and Youth Support Division.

Yoon Geun-seok, head of the Job and Youth Support Division, stated, “The Talent Sharing Youth Instructor program helps youth grow not only as participants but as planners and instructors,” and “We look forward to the active participation of talented young people.”
