[TV Report = Kim Na-rae] The truth battle between comedian Park Na-rae and her former manager, Mr. A, is intensifying. Mr. A, who is at the center of controversy due to a recently released audio recording, has spoken out. Currently, Park Na-rae is facing a lawsuit for prejudgment attachment on real estate by former managers citing workplace harassment and unpaid operation fees. In response, Park Na-rae’s side filed a counterclaim for attempted extortion and embezzlement, leading to a fierce legal battle between the parties.
Previously, on the 9th, Jin-ho Lee released a recording of a conversation between Park Na-rae and Mr. A on the “Celebrity President Jinho” channel. In the recording, Mr. A can be heard sobbing, saying, “I don’t know how things came to this,” while Park Na-rae also inquired about Mr. A’s family’s well-being. This contrasted with the previously revealed aggressive atmosphere, causing a temporary shift in public opinion, and the case took a new turn.
On the 12th, Mr. A issued a statement clarifying, “I have never contacted Park Na-rae first since my resignation, and the controversial call was initiated by Park Na-rae.” He also explained that the “5 billion won settlement demand” was misunderstood, asserting that the agreement sent through a lawyer did not include any financial demands but only an acknowledgment of facts and an apology. Mr. A claimed that Park Na-rae’s team sent intentional messages like “aside from money, what do you need?” to induce him.
Mr. A further explained that reports about his reluctance to subscribe to the four major insurances were false, stating that both he and his team consistently requested it, but it was ultimately dismissed by Park Na-rae, the final decision maker. He criticized Park Na-rae’s legal action as premeditated, expressing frustration over the public release of a statement containing false information and a lawsuit for attempted extortion soon after he expressed his intention to reject the settlement.
Additionally, Mr. A mentioned circumstances during his contract renewal with his former agency, JDB Entertainment. He alleged that Park Na-rae aimed to gain favorable conditions during her contract renewal by trying to obtain weaknesses related to her senior colleagues, Kim Jun-ho and Kim Dae-hee, the founders of the agency. He claimed that Park Na-rae forced him to record conversations, which he then delivered to her and her boyfriend, and that he still has the recordings as evidence.
