[Sports Chosun Reporter Kim Joon-seok] Actress Lee Si-young has issued a direct apology regarding the recent controversy over her and her acquaintances being a nuisance at a campsite.
On the 29th, Lee Si-young posted a lengthy message on her SNS, bowing her head and saying, “I apologize to those who were inconvenienced at the campsite.”
Previously, allegations arose in online communities that visitors, including Lee Si-young and acquaintances, caused inconvenience with nighttime noise and group activities at a campsite, expanding the controversy.
In her message, she explained, “I heard that our team was the only one who reserved the campsite that day, so I thought we were the only ones there,” adding, “Upon checking, I was informed that one team arrived in the evening.”
She further clarified, “Due to my younger child, I arrived late in the afternoon and couldn’t stay until late evening, so I returned home after a few hours and wasn’t aware of the detailed situation.”
Nonetheless, she stressed, “I believe ‘manner time’ is very important at campsites,” and expressed her apologies once more.
The apology came after campsite users claimed online that “using microphones, loud voices, and group games disrupted the ‘manner time’.”
Reports even indicated that families trying to enjoy camping with their children decided to leave early, which fueled public criticism.
Following Lee Si-young’s apology, online commenters reacted by saying, “It’s fortunate she apologized directly,” “Public space manners require more awareness,” and “Given the repeated nature of the controversy, she should be more cautious.”
Meanwhile, Lee Si-young was recently embroiled in controversy after sharing photos of her campsite visit on SNS, and through this apology, she appears to be addressing the issue head-on.
