Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) announced on the 1st that it is recruiting preliminary tenants for 946 general-type households and 123 youth-type households, totaling 1,069 households, for purchased rental housing.
Purchased rental housing involves public institutions buying multi-family or studio apartments and renting them to housing-vulnerable groups at around 30% of the market price.
For the general-type, preliminary tenants are being recruited in 10 cities, including Gwangju, Dongducheon, Suwon, Siheung, Yangju, Yeoju, Osan, Uijeongbu, Paju, and Pyeongtaek, and the target is household members without a house.
The rental period is two years, with the option to renew up to nine times, allowing tenants to reside for a maximum of 20 years.
The youth-type is being recruited in five cities, including Suwon, Ansan, Gimpo, Paju, and Pyeongtaek, and unmarried young adults without housing, who are university students, job seekers, or those aged 19-39, can apply.
The rental period is two years, with the possibility to stay up to 10 years if renewal conditions are met.
Applications for the general-type will be accepted at administrative welfare centers in the place of residence from the 15th to the 18th, while youth-type applications will be received at the GH subscription center from the 15th to the 17th.
