Samsung Display promotes 23 executives…”Contributing to securing new business momentum”

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Min-ji – Samsung Display announced on the 25th that it has conducted its 2026 regular executive appointments, promoting a total of 23 individuals, including 8 vice presidents, 13 managing directors, and 2 masters.

They have focused on promoting individuals with excellent business performance who have strengthened market dominance and secured new growth opportunities through the development of differentiated technologies.

Kang Tae-wook, the team leader of the Process Development Team in the Small and Medium Display Division, was promoted to vice president for his contributions to enhancing product competitiveness by timely developing new products through high-level technological developments, such as improving OLED performance and reducing costs.

Samsung Display has expanded its pool of executive candidates by selecting individuals with growth potential and capabilities regardless of age, including two vice presidents in their 40s and one managing director in their 30s.

Jung Kyung-ho, vice president of the Module Development Team in the Small and Medium Display Division, led the development of new module films and high-strength foldable components, contributing to the timely mass production of the ‘Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7.’

Vice President Ha Dong-wan of the Display Research Institute’s Design Research Team was recognized for enhancing the design completeness of the Galaxy XR’s White (W) OLEDoS panel by leading the development of high-resolution and low-power circuits for OLEDoS.

Managing Director Kim Jin-young of the Material Development Team in the Small and Medium Display Division was evaluated for contributing to the improvement of OLED product performance through the development of tandem materials for new IT and automotive products, enhancing material lifespan and efficiency.

Samsung Display has also strengthened organizational diversity by promoting female leaders.

Namari, head of the Analysis Technology Team at the Display Research Institute (vice president), was acknowledged for her contributions to improving defect leakage rates by advancing analysis technology amidst the expansion of new businesses such as OLEDoS and 8.6-generation IT, which led to a more diverse product lineup.

Managing Director Jang Ha-yeon of the Legal Office’s IP Team contributed to enhancing business competitiveness by steadily managing legal issues related to display trade secrets, patents, and licenses.

With these 2026 regular executive appointments, Samsung Display has completed its executive changes and plans to finalize organizational restructuring and position appointments soon.
