“Ansan News: ‘Walking with Citizens for Happiness’ Event to be Held on the 18th”

[Anyang = Newsis] Park Seok-hee reports that the city of Anyang in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 15th that it will hold the ‘Happy Walking Event with Citizens’ starting at 8:30 a.m. on the 18th from the multipurpose stadium in Hakwoon Park.

Hosted by the Anyang City Sports Council and organized by the Anyang City Walking Association, the event covers a course of approximately 1.6 kilometers, starting from the stadium in Hakwoon Park, passing Hakwoon Bridge and reaching the turning point at Bisan Pedestrian Bridge. It is expected to take about 40 minutes.

Citizens who wish to participate can simply wear light sportswear and come to the Hakwoon Park stadium on the event day without prior registration. Various prizes such as televisions, air purifiers, electric rice cookers, microwaves, foot massagers, and bicycles will be offered.

◇ Dongan Health Center Conducts Hand Hygiene Education

The city of Anyang also announced on the 15th that the Dongan Health Center conducted hand hygiene education for all staff on the previous day to commemorate ‘Global Handwashing Day (October 15th)’. The training focused on enhancing employees’ hygiene management capabilities and establishing an infection prevention system within the health center.

The education covered practical topics such as the importance of hand hygiene, the six-step proper handwashing practice, and infection prevention cases in medical institutions. Employees participated in mock exercises to learn the correct handwashing methods.

The session was conducted in collaboration with the public health team of Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, featuring Seo Hye-kyung, an infection control nurse from the regional responsibility project team at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, as a lecturer. She led the training based on professional knowledge and rich field experience.
