HD Hyundai announced today (18th) that it plans to hire a total of 1,500 new employees this year and approximately 10,000 over the next five years across 19 subsidiaries in the shipbuilding, construction machinery, and energy sectors by 2029.

The ongoing recruitment for new employees in the group for the second half of this year is approaching its deadline, which is set for the 22nd (Monday).

HD Hyundai explained that they plan to focus on securing R&D personnel for the promotion of eco-friendly technologies, digital smart solutions, and hydrogen-bio businesses, which are being developed as future growth engines.

In addition, an ‘internship program linked to academic credit’ is being operated to allow young people to gain social experience and explore their aptitudes in advance.

Since 2022, HD Hyundai has entered agreements with universities to allow students to earn 12 to 15 credits if they work for the company for three months before graduation.

An HD Hyundai representative stated, “As youth are the future and hope of our society, we will actively participate in solving youth unemployment by creating quality jobs.”
