The People’s Power Party appointed a new spokesperson team today (15th), including four party spokespersons and five media spokespersons.
Chief Spokesperson Park Sung-hoon announced shortly after the Supreme Council meeting held in Busan this morning that “a consultation on the appointment of spokespersons was conducted after an undisclosed preliminary meeting.”
The appointed spokespersons are Kim Hyo-eun, former Party Chairperson of Osan, Gyeonggi-do; Son Beom-gyu, Party Chairperson of Namdong-gu Gap, Incheon; Lee Choong-hyung, former Central Election Campaign Committee Spokesperson; and Jo Yong-sool, Party Chairperson of Goyang Si-eul, Gyeonggi-do.
As media spokespersons, Kim Ki-heung, Party Chairperson of Yeonsu-gu Eul, Incheon; Park Min-young, former spokesperson; Son Su-jo, Leader of Policy Research Institute; Lee Jae-neung, former deputy spokesperson; and Lee Joon-woo, Media Special Committee member, have been selected.
Chief Spokesperson Park explained regarding this appointment, “Media spokespersons with frequent media exposure, such as broadcasts, will primarily focus on media outlets like TV and radio to swiftly convey the party’s stance, rather than working full-time,” and “The four party spokespersons will work full-time to convey the party’s position through commentary.”
He added, “The term is six months,” and “it can be extended if evaluations are favorable.”
The appointment of the new spokesperson team seems to implement the ‘Panel Certification System’ mentioned by leader Jang Dong-hyuk.
In a previous media interview, leader Jang stated, “Making harmful statements pretending to be opinions on broadcasts can also be an act against the party,” and announced, “We will implement a panel certification system to inform that this person officially represents the People’s Power Party.”
