Sam Hammington disciplining Sayuri’s son, Zen, ends in tears: “He has a soft heart and is very affectionate” (Death Note)

(Xports News, Reporter Jang Juwon) Zen shed tears after being disciplined.

On the 4th, Sayuri’s YouTube channel ‘Sayuri’s Death Note’ posted a video titled ‘[JPN/ENG] Parenting Expert Sam Hammington’s Fascinating Challenge of Raising the Wilbengers X Zen Doppelganger!’

The video showcased the chaotic parenting story where Sam Hammington had to single-handedly take care of Sayuri’s son Zen and his own sons, William and Bentley. Seeing the kids running around as soon as they met, Sam Hammington anticipated that the day would not be easy and watched quietly.

Sayuri left Sam Hammington with the daily parenting mission, “It would be nice if Zen learns inline skating with William and Bentley. I’ll come pick him up later.” Taking on the ‘inline skating mission,’ Sam Hammington set out with Zen.

However, Zen, displaying his ‘mischievous five-year-old’ side, didn’t listen to Sam Hammington’s attempts to teach inline skating. Instead, Zen playfully clung onto Sam Hammington with a cheerful demeanor, prompting Sam to sit Zen down in a chair as if resolved to do something.

The ‘parenting expert’ Sam Hammington, with a serious expression, scolded the seated Zen, causing Zen’s expression to droop and eventually leading him to cry as he clung to Sam Hammington. Feeling sorry for the increasingly upset Zen, Sam Hammington gently asked, “What’s wrong? Were you scared?” and patted Zen’s back.

Further comforting him, Sam Hammington apologized with, “I didn’t understand Zen’s heart well. I’m sorry,” displaying the gentle side of an uncle. To cheer Zen up, Sam Hammington, upon noticing a booger on his clothes, turned the situation into laughter, lightening Zen’s mood.

Despite this, Sam Hammington’s family stopped what they were doing to help cheer Zen up. William made funny faces in front of Zen, displaying his brotherly concern, which touched viewers.

Once Zen’s mood lifted and he headed to the playground with the Wilbenger brothers, Sam Hammington sat down with the production team for a heart-to-heart talk. Sam Hammington admitted, “Honestly, I was surprised earlier. It was milder than the discipline I’d give my children, but Zen was more sensitive than I expected.”

The four then moved to a cafe after having fun at the playground. When Sayuri appeared, Zen, happy to see her, smiled, adding warmth. Sam Hammington shared with Sayuri, “Zen is very affectionate. Even though I scolded him earlier, he immediately hugged me,” expressing his fondness for Zen.

Viewers who watched the video commented, “The three of them seem like brothers. Dad Sam is so cute treating Zen like his own son,” and “Zen seems more tender-hearted than expected.”
