It’s advisable to leave home a bit earlier than usual this morning.
Currently, rain is falling in Seoul and the central-northern regions.
Some areas are experiencing heavy downpours.
In Inje, Gangwon Province, heavy rain of 20mm per hour is currently falling.
Rain is expected in the central regions until this afternoon.
Sudden showers may occur in the southern regions and Jeju by evening.
The heavy rain warning that was issued for Seoul has been lifted.
However, a heavy rain advisory is still in effect for Yangju and Uijeongbu in Gyeonggi Province.
Up to 30mm of rain per hour is expected in some areas today.
Please be mindful of safety accidents.
In Seoul and other parts of the metropolitan area, as well as the northern and western coastal areas of Chungcheongnam-do, up to 60mm of rain is expected, and 5 to 40mm in Gangwon.
In other regions, expect between 5mm and 20mm of rain.
On the east coast of central and southern Gangwon, less than 5mm of rain is expected.
In southern Chungcheong and southward, 5 to 60mm of showers will occur.
Meanwhile, heat wave warnings continue in the southern regions and Jeju where the heat persists.
Daytime highs will be 29°C in Seoul, 30°C in Daejeon, with many areas in central regions remaining below 30°C.
In the southern regions, temperatures will rise to 31°C in Daegu and Busan, and 32°C in Gwangju.
Tomorrow, Seoul’s daytime high will climb back to 33°C.
Over the weekend, rain will fall nationwide, and relatively cooler air will move south, easing the heat further.
