The ‘Jeonnam GT Competition’ to go ‘Vroom’ at the Yeongam International Circuit on the 20th-21st

The “2025 Jeonnam GT” (Grand Touring) event, held annually by Jeollanam-do to promote the development of motorsports and automotive culture, will take place at the Yeongam International Circuit on the 20th and 21st. According to Jeollanam-do, this event is a speed festival featuring various motorsport categories. The event includes six categories, such as the Jeonnam Endurance Race, which is a two-hour endurance race, the Toyota Gazoo Racing 6000, which is the highest level professional event in Korea, as well as sports prototype racing cars and the sports bike category for motorcycles.

In a new strategy to extend the duration of attendees’ stays in the region, the opening ceremony and finals, previously concentrated on Sunday, will be distributed over the weekend. The opening ceremony and one category’s final will occur on Saturday, while five categories’ finals will be held on Sunday.

The event will feature a celebratory performance by singers Wonstein and Mighty Mouth, along with activities like virtual racing, go-kart experiences, mini-car races, and bubble shows, creating a unique tourism resource that aims to attract family visitors.

Jang Young-chul, the provincial business city officer, stated, “We aim to enhance visitor convenience with a variety of attractions and food options, and contribute to the revitalization of the regional economy by connecting with tourism resources around the circuit.”
