A man in his 40s has been handed over to the prosecution for illegally filming female employees by installing cameras throughout the company.

The Seobu Police Station in Jeju has transferred a suspect in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, without detention on charges of violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (using cameras, etc. for filming).

Mr. A is accused of illegally filming female employees by installing miniature cameras in the women’s restroom and under female employees’ desks at a small company in Jeju, where he worked, from early last year to last month.

It was confirmed that Mr. A connected the cameras to his mobile phone to transmit the footage for illegal filming.

His crimes were uncovered when a female employee using the restroom discovered a miniature camera in the tissue case.

It is reported that Mr. A turned himself into the police as soon as the incident was revealed.

The police secured photos and videos from Mr. A’s confiscated mobile phone and transferred him without detention.

It has been revealed that this small business is run by Mr. A’s father as the representative.
