Meanwhile, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration, a heavy rain warning was issued at 6 PM for most areas in northern Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi Province, with strong rain accompanied by gusts, thunder, and lightning, falling at rates of 10-30mm per hour. The administration announced that the rain would continue until the 14th, predicting that 30-70mm per hour of strong rain could fall overnight in the areas of Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and the five islands in the West Sea, and 30-50mm per hour in the inland regions of northern and central Gangwon.
