Orchestra joins ‘K-AI’ Upstage Consortium… Specializing in public-oriented generative AI.

Orchestrato announced on the 8th that it has been selected as a partner of the Upstage Consortium, which was chosen for the “Independent AI Foundation Model” project promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT. Orchestrato will be responsible for building generative AI services in the public sector.

A total of 15 private cooperation consortiums participated in this project, and after document and presentation evaluations, five teams were selected as elite teams.

The Upstage Consortium, which Orchestrato is part of, is a startup-centered alliance that includes KAIST, Sogang University, Flitto, Nota AI, and Lablup, and it aims to develop a global-level AI foundation model named “Solar WBL.”

Within the consortium, Orchestrato will focus on providing a large language model (LLM) service using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) based on public sector-specific data. The company aims to lead the spread of Korean-style AI in the public sector by implementing AI services optimized for administrative and policy environments, based on its extensive experience with public institution projects.

Specifically, Orchestrato plans to enhance its cloud operational technology by incorporating generative AI through this project. Under the leadership of CTO Kim Young-kwang, the company will establish a dedicated organization for “AI Cloud” across the entire company and apply AI technology to its core solution, CMP (Cloud Management Platform), to build an intelligent cloud operation system.

Orchestrato’s CEO, Kim Beom-jae, stated, “We will transform the paradigm of cloud operations based on the AI technology proven through this national AI project. We aim to respond flexibly to the rapidly changing AI market environment and grow as a platform leading the development of the domestic AI ecosystem.”
