On the 15th, students from Buseok Middle School in Chungnam are experiencing AI content at the KT AI Station. KT has announced on the 16th that it will start operating the mobile AI experience center, ‘KT AI Station’, designed to provide high-quality AI education opportunities to local youth and make AI easily accessible to the public.
The KT AI Station is a mobile experience space equipped with AI content such as the ‘K-Intelligence’ and ‘ESG’ experience centers. It is designed to support youth in regions with low digital education accessibility in directly experiencing and understanding AI.
In the ‘K-Intelligence’ experience center, users can easily and enjoyably experience content using KT’s latest AI technologies, including speech recognition, video synthesis, and generative AI technologies. The ESG experience center offers educational content related to digital ethics and the ability to discern information through programs themed around deepfake and manipulated information.
Starting with Buseok Middle School in Chungnam on the 15th, KT will sequentially conduct on-site experiential AI education using the ‘KT AI Station’ at eight middle schools in Chungnam. This will include AI coding education and mentoring based on digital ethics content developed by the university student IT supporters (KIT) and will be conducted in a way that encourages youth curiosity and active participation. There are plans to expand the target schools nationwide by the second half of this year.
Tae-sung Oh, head of KT’s ESG Management Promotion Office, stated, “As AI is a key technology that will lead future society, it is very important for youth to experience it directly. We will support youth in regions with low digital accessibility to receive quality AI education through the KT AI Station.”
