“Honey J and Lee Jung in Tears as ‘Viewer Ratings No. 1’ Beomjeop Misses Final Ticket (Summary)”

[Reporter Lee Yumin from Sports Korea] ‘World of Street Woman Fighter (WSWF)’ has confirmed the crews advancing to the finals, heralding the climax of its intense journey.

In the episode of Mnet’s ‘World of Street Woman Fighter’ (referred to as ‘World of SWF’) aired on the 15th, the semi-final dance film mission was followed by a nail-biting elimination battle between Bumjeop and Motiv for the last spot in the finals, heightening the tension. In the dance film mission themed ‘Woman,’ each crew delivered a striking impression with distinct messages and performances. Through global audience evaluations and judge assessments, AG Squad and Osaka Ojo Gang secured their spots in the finals.

The ‘Dance Film Mission’ required each crew to complete a segment to form a coherent dance film, revolving around the ‘Woman’ theme. A fierce competition ensued as the four crews aimed to secure the main section. AG Squad showcased a powerful presence utilizing chairs as props, Bumjeop conveyed determination in paving their path, Motiv delivered a message that there is no definition of ‘Queen,’ and Osaka Ojo Gang emphasized the irreplaceable Queen Kyoka. Ultimately, Osaka Ojo Gang emerged as the protagonist of the main segment following global audience feedback.

The dance film video included three sub-segments and one hidden segment, along with the main segment. Bumjeop and AG Squad handled the ‘Fallen Queen’ and ‘Neon Switch’ segments respectively, while Motiv tackled the ‘West Coast Groove’ and hidden segments, surprising all judges with their masterpiece. AG Squad unanimously earned the ‘Best Dance Crew’ title based on the judges’ evaluations.

Having demonstrated outstanding performance in the semi-finals, AG Squad received additional points for both their global artist performance mission and dance film mission, swiftly securing the first ticket to the finals among the four crews. Osaka Ojo Gang followed as the second finalist, leaving Bumjeop and Motiv to contend for survival in the elimination battle.

The elimination battle for the last finals ticket was conducted in a best-of-five format. Fight judges Park Jinyoung and Mike Song, along with special judges Poppin’C, KITE, and Lia Kim joined, delivering a gripping showdown between Bumjeop and Motiv across all five rounds.

Motiv clinched a unanimous victory in the first round group battle, while Bumjeop, revitalized by the reunited ‘Purplow’ featuring Honey J and Lee Hye, won the second round. With Lip J’s contribution, Bumjeop claimed victory in the third round 1:1 battle, securing momentum, but Motiv’s counterattack was formidable. Motiv achieved victories in the fourth round and the final fifth round 1:1 battle between Lee Hye and Molly, securing the last finals ticket.

Though Bumjeop and Motiv fought fiercely for the last final ticket in the best-of-five elimination battle, Motiv emerged as the final finalist after winning rounds four and five.

Reassembled for a passionate challenge, Bumjeop, despite elimination, exhibited growth in every mission, earning applause from many. After the final stage, members shed tears, and Honey J expressed, “Meeting these members made me happy.” Aiki added, “We’re no longer comrades, but family,” leaving a deep impression.

AG Squad, Motiv, and Osaka Ojo Gang, the three crews advancing to the finals, will present their final performances for the ultimate victory on the 22nd. The journey toward the singular throne is nearing its end.

Meanwhile, the episode achieved first place in viewership ratings among 1539 target audience and 2049 male and female viewer groups for eight consecutive weeks during the same timeframe (based on AGB Nielsen’s metropolitan paid platform criteria). On TVING, it reached an incredible 95% real-time viewership share among all live channels during the same timeframe, demonstrating intense viewer interest. The show’s buzz was also formidable, maintaining its position as number one in the TV-OTT non-drama category for seven consecutive weeks during the second week of July, according to Good Data Corporation’s Fundle Index.
