Actor Jin Tae-hyun has decided to take a break from the show “Divorce Counseling Camp” (이혼숙려캠프) to undergo thyroid cancer surgery, responding to the heartfelt gestures of the program’s staff. On June 23, Jin expressed his gratitude, stating, “I love our program so much! Thank you to the writers, directors, and all the staff who work so hard. I’ll be back well. I’m sorry for everything.” The staff, who had given him a handwritten letter, sent messages of support, saying, “We’re waiting for the day we meet again in good health,” “We believe you’ll recover quickly,” and “Surgery is nothing at all!”
Recently, Jin announced that he would be undergoing surgery this week, sharing, “Next week I’ll be going to the hospital for surgery, then I’ll take a few weeks to fully recover and return to normal life as if nothing happened.”
Jin Tae-hyun was recently diagnosed with early-stage thyroid cancer and is preparing for surgery. He shared that during a health check-up with his wife in April, he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, even though everything else was healthy. He emphasized the importance of surgery since it was detected early and was still small, thus needing to be removed before spreading elsewhere.
Jin reassured fans not to worry, stating that he would carefully balance his filming schedule, overseas commitments, and rest without overexerting himself before the surgery.
