Yoon supporter ‘Captain America’ sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in first trial

On the 10th, in front of the ‘2025 2nd Full Committee’ at the National Human Rights Commission in Jung-gu, Seoul, a supporter of former President Yoon Seok-yeol, dressed as the Marvel character ‘Captain America,’ was protesting. The individual, known as Mr. An, attempted to break into the Chinese embassy in Myeongdong, Jung-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 14th at around 7:36 PM but was caught in the act of attempted intrusion of a building and was arrested by the police.

A supporter of former President Yoon Seok-yeol, who attempted to break into the Chinese embassy and a police station while dressed as ‘Captain America,’ has been sentenced to prison.

Judge Goo Chang-kyu of the Seoul Central District Court’s Criminal Division 12 sentenced a man in his 40s, referred to as Mr. A, to 1 year and 6 months in prison on the 28th for charges including attempted intrusion of a building, damage to public goods, insult, and forgery of public documents.

Mr. A, who was dressed as ‘Captain America,’ a hero from American Marvel movies, attempted unauthorized entry into the Chinese embassy and a police station and was also charged with forgery of public documents during the investigation process.
