(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Sung Hye-mi: Musinsa announced on the 28th that it will open ‘Sodamsanghoe with Musinsa’ in Seongsu-dong on the 2nd of next month to help small businesses expand their sales channels and increase revenue.
Sodamsanghoe is a flagship store created through collaboration between the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency to promote the digital transformation of small businesses and expand their online and offline sales channels.
Musinsa, which was selected as a new operator in March this year, decided to use the ‘Musinsa Terrace Seongsu’ complex cultural space, which was already operating in Seongsu-dong, as an online and offline connected sales space for small businesses. It has been remodeled into Sodamsanghoe with Musinsa.
The space spans two floors with a total business area of 466 square meters (141 pyeong). Customers can find fashion and beauty products from small business brands that have been screened and selected by Musinsa and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency.
All products sold in the store will have QR codes attached to integrate offline and online payment processes.
Musinsa plans to support the expansion of sales channels for about 1,000 small business brands through both online and offline platforms by the end of this year.
A Musinsa representative stated, “With our business philosophy of co-growth with small fashion brands, we expect Musinsa to play a significant role in discovering and nurturing small business brands that will lead K-fashion and beauty trends.”
Meanwhile, Musinsa’s private brand (PB), ‘Musinsa Standard,’ will open its 25th offline store on the 6th floor of Galleria Department Store’s Timeworld branch in Seo-gu, Daejeon, on the 29th.
The Galleria Timeworld store is the first store that Musinsa Standard is launching in the Chungcheong region. It is expected to attract demand from customers in their 20s and 30s, based on the nearby university district and office commercial area.
