On the 21st, most areas nationwide will experience rain, and daytime temperatures will rise above 25 degrees Celsius, giving off early summer vibes.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 20th, rain is expected to fall until tomorrow morning in the metropolitan area, inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon, northern Chungnam, the southern coast of Jeonnam, and the southern coast of Gyeongnam, and until 6 p.m. on Jeju Island. In the afternoon, there will be showers in eastern Gyeonggi, Gangwon, inland Chungcheong, inland Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, and northwestern inland Gyeongnam.
The expected precipitation is as follows: less than 5mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and the five western islands; 5–30mm in eastern Gyeonggi; 5–40mm in Gangwon; less than 5mm in inland and mountainous Gangwon; 5–40mm in Daejeon, Sejong, inland Chungnam, and Chungbuk; less than 5mm in northern Chungnam and the Jeonnam coast; 5–40mm in inland Jeonbuk, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and northwestern inland Gyeongnam; less than 5mm on the southern coast of Gyeongnam; 10–40mm on Jeju Island; and 5–20mm in northern Jeju.
The concentration of fine dust is expected to be at a “good” to “moderate” level across all areas, thanks to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
Morning temperatures will be as follows: Seoul 20℃, Daejeon 21℃, Daegu 21℃, Jeonju 22℃, Gwangju 22℃, Busan 19℃, Chuncheon 19℃, Gangneung 20℃, Jeju 20℃, and Ulleungdo/Dokdo 18℃.
The highest daytime temperatures will be: Seoul 28℃, Daejeon 29℃, Daegu 28℃, Jeonju 28℃, Gwangju 26℃, Busan 23℃, Chuncheon 30℃, Gangneung 23℃, Jeju 23℃, and Ulleungdo/Dokdo 23℃.
A KMA official said, “The morning lowest temperatures will range from 18 to 22℃, and the highest daytime temperatures will range from 21 to 30℃. In areas where rain falls, there may be gusts of wind accompanied by thunder and lightning, so please be particularly vigilant about facility management and safety accidents.”
